Why oh why do manufacturers make toasters that are too small for normal sized sliced bread? Why can’t they measure a slice of bread?
I use my toaster for crumpets and English muffins. Have been given a free loaf of bread at work as no date printed on the tag. Kingsmill 50/50. The toaster I have, slots are too shallow for this bread. Top 1.5cm pokes out. So i have to stop the cycle, flip the slices and do a cycle.
Budget is £40. I go through toasters. Had toasters that tripped the electricity, handle snapping off, browning control was stuck on lightly toasted etc.
