Okay, my build was working perfectly (sound and all). That was before I installed my X1800XT. I installed it and it was working fine, but I had no sounds coming out of the speakers, so I checked all the connections - they were fine. I then reinstalled the realtek drivers but that didnt solve it. Then I checked the bios, onboard audio is still enabled in there. Restarted windows and audio was still not soming out!

I've read that some people have been having trouble with onboard realtek audio, but have been unable to find any solutions. Can someone please help?

My modo is DFI RS482 Infinity.

Have you updated your drivers. Could maybe be a power problem. What psu do u have? Are your speakers definitely working?

Do you mean the realtek drivers? I have installed the ones that came on the mobo cd. The psu is from the antec aria that I am using with this mobo. I would have thought the psu would be adequate for what I am using (mobo, x1800xt, 1xhd, 1xcd). I'll try updating the modo bios and realtek drivers and see what happens.
