Hi all, today I installed my Samsung 830. I did a clean Windows 7 install. I reformatted the old OS HDD within windows. Now, when i set the 830 as the 1st priority in the boot order it comes up with this message:

"Reboot and select proper boot device
Or put bootable media in the device"

BUT if I set it to boot from the old HDD, it comes up asking me which windows 7 I want to launch. I know I installed W7 on the right disk, i didnt somehow create a partion in my 500GB! I formatted that drive after the clean install anyway.

So what's going on? Do I need to format the 500GB in the bios using the windows disk?

Cheers for the replies! I have already used the magician software to optimise my SSD. I have also formatted my other HDD, so there SHOULD only be one install of Windows 7. I want to use it a general media/junk drive so I dont want to unplug it really!

I understand what nkata is on about, so should I do another clean install, without any other drives connected?
