reboot as soon as into windows

i put my fsb up to 280 just now, and it went into windows temps on my probe were fine (around 32) but then as soon as the taskbar loaded it rebooted. now is this a problem with the overclock which maybe some more voltage would cure, or is it just a random error.

when i reduced the OC and got back into windows it said it had recovered from a serious error. could it be also that speedfan, which reads my temps at about 10-15 degrees higher than my probe, reads the same stuff as the bios and therefore caused my computer to restart as it thought it was getting too hot?

Thats what I would call an extremely unstable overclock, random rebooting means the CPU isn't stable at all. Try increasing voltages across the board and adjusting memory timings.

memory isn't an issue as it is on a divider and under its rated speed. i'll put the voltages up a little - thanks.
