Hi guys

Just a quickie

I have a Prescott 3.0ghz @ 3.3, no problems with temps and system is stable, when i clock to 3.4 the sytem reboot randomly, the temps are all fine so i was guessing its my PSU not being powerfull enough at 320W, would i be correct or is it possibly something else causing my problem?

TIA

G

Eh?? as i mentioned the temps are fine, my cpu idles at 41C maxes at 65C and after clocking it to 3.4 does not go over 47C when i'm using applications

Power. 320W is low, especially for an overclocked system. Try over 450W if your overclocking, jsut to be on the safe side
The other option is that the heat readings are false and your system temps are high. Whats case air-flow like?

Yeah - a divider on a P4 system is only any good for establishing how fast the processor will go.

On my Abit boards (AA8, AW8, AL8) you need an extra increment of northbridge voltage to get them through 230FSB then usually 2 clicks on the processor voltage to keep them stable above that.
