Hey guys,
I'm doing a brake conversion on my car to the mk3 mondeo calipers. I got a set of these from my local scrappy, and before putting them on my car I've decided to clean them up, replace all the seals etc and give them a lick of black paint.
I have managed everything so far, except there is ONE seal i cant get off entirely, the one that goes on the piston and onto the caliper like an accordian type affair. Managed to get it off of the piston fine, the piston is out and now all shiny, but the other end seems to have binded almost to the metal.....how the hell do i get it off? Ive been slowly picking it off with a flat head screw driver but it's completely tedious and was wondering if anyone has any other ideas? Something perhaps, like white spirit but stronger, that would perish the rubber but not affect the metal?
Cheers,
Tom.
