rec me a new psu. my tagan 480 doesnt cut it anymore. cant power both hd's with it. gonna RMA as it must be faulty.

my setup:-
opteron 165 toledo 2.6ghz 1.35v
x1800xt 700/1600 pcie
WD raptor 74gig SATA
160 gig maxtor SATA2
2x dvd-rw
2x usb
2x dram 2.8v
1x floppy
4x 80mm fans
1x 120mm fan

psu calc says 377watts, 434watts with surge,

What is your budget here? Anything from Seasonic, Enermax, Tagan, Antec and FSP ought to be sufficient over 500w. Seasonic are probably about the best and quietest but fairly expensive and don't have any modular options yet or even sleeved cables.

thinking about getting the Enhance ENP-5150G
24pin, will this work on AMD mb?

if not, prolly Silverstone ST60F tho its not cheap

Never heard of the top one, if it is 24pin then yes it will work but having now found a specification and picture it does look a little cheap and not any better than Tagan. The specifications aren't anything out of the ordinary either.

The Silverstone appears to be good but rather pricey.

looks are misleading. ever seen a PC P&C psu? best in the world, with price tag to match but they look like any old psu. lot of polished turds about with chrome plugs etc.

narrowed it down to one of these,
Enermax Liberty EL620AWT
Enhance ENP-5150G
Seasonic S12-600
Fortron Epsilon FX600-GLN
Silverstone ST60F

I don't doubt that, I'm just expressing an opinion here that it looks like nothing special and often enough if something looks cheap and nasty then it isn't such good quality. It didn't help that the first user review I came across while searching for it slated its efficiency and said it was a bit noisy :)

Out of your choices I'd go with the Seasonic or the Silverstone depending on the price.

but its £54 and rated through 50c with APFC etc and 30+ amps. so i might get it. i dont wanna get a psu but no choice. bloody tagan.
