Hi all

Looking for a new monitor(s), looking for 1920*1080 as I'd likely get two or three.

Looking for the best, cheapest monitor (I know, not the best combo!). However if I have to spend a little extra to get something decent that's fine.

Reason I say that is because I had a cheap-ish 24" not too long back, and reading websites, word etc gave me eye strain - the text was horrible and made using the monitor hard so it was sold. I'd like to avoid this with any new monitor.

Looking for something with good colours, but main use is general, gaming and photo/video editing (nothing professional). So I need an all-round monitor really.

At the moment, the LG 23EA63V is what I am looking at. I read a while ago the LG IPS234V was the 'best, cheapest IPS monitor' - but don't know if its been updated with the 23EA63V?

Edit: On the complete flip side, if you could mention any thin bezel monitors ideal for eyefinity I would like to take a look at them also but its more of a 'feature' than necessity.

Oh and not looking for any 1920*1080 27" monitors please

Just what I'm looking for at the moment so will keep an eye on this, saves me starting another thread. :)

(Post above was in response to a spambot, wasn't to any competitor etc)

After doing a little research, is it potentially PWM that caused the eye strain on my 'cheap' monitor and what I need to be looking for is a non-PWM based monitor?

Still researching at the moment but if anyone could summarize that would be a great help.

So I'm still looking at the LG IPS234V at the moment, monitor wise. Anyone had experience with it? Judging by reviews its fairly good, but wondered if any OcUK'ers could comment.

I'm also toying up the idea of perhaps one screen - I'd like an iMac type display and aware that these are expensive but is there a definite identical monitor to the iMac display?

I know it looks like I'm going two ends of the spectrum and can't decide, but just weighing up the options :).
