Hi

I have an Abit Nf7-s v2 motherboard.


Can you please recommend a new CPU. I am running a Barton 2500 but i am sure it is fried as i had some overheating problems.

So looking to upgrade as much as i can on the current motherboard.

3200 is about top of the range, but it would be easiest to get a 2500 mobile and clock it.

That said they are all pretty old (yet still command a second hand premium), and you might be better off replacing the lot with an e2140, P35 mobo, DDR2 ram, etc...
