Planning on doing a new pc build in the next 8 weeks roughly...

Going for a z77 motherboard with a ib 3570k (or sb 2500k)
and planning on spending max £100 on a graphics card if needed.
Would be looking to run a 3 monitor setup.

My main pc usage is general surfing, excel, word, and watching HD video files.
Dont really play much games on pc as do this on ps3 or xbox currently.
At a push, id play football manager or need for speed. Not too fussed on getting max frame rates on current games as dont get much spare time to play.

What kind of card would i need or could i get away with using just the built in gpu within the intel cpu?
 
Hi, i see you watch a lot of HD content,if you video edit,you would be better off going with the 8 thread/hyperthreading CPU. Intel have worked hard on enhancing the igpu built into the new ivybridge cpu's,i would suggest testing the power of the igpu to see if it fulfills your criteria.
 
Will be doing some HD movie editing activities and a lot of high resolution photo maniplulating. i.e editing RAW images and then converting to jpg,


I upgrade Pc once every 5 years, so looking for best bang for buck and longevity.

MY current cpu is a dual core 2 chip.
 
current set up is 2 monitor Intel Core 2 6320 chip with a geforce 8600GT graphics card. Runs ok, but looking to refresh and add extra screen and added oomph.

Wont be using the 3 monitor setup for tri screen gaming hence the low budget for graphics card.

monitors have vga, dvi, and hdmi inputs. So i need one of each connection to link all 3 monitors up.

edit : Just noticed....in 6 months time, i will be a forum member for exactly 10 years! God i feel old!
