Im after a good amp for my bass guitar, bass is an Ibanez GSR200. I would be only playing in the house for now, but I see most pratice amps are only 10 watts? is this loud enough?

Anyway what do you reccomend?

Ashdown Electric Blue 1x12'

It's a bit more expensive than other practice amps but what you get is:
Fantastic warm tone (great for all ranges of music, especially rock and jazz but I play metal on an Ashdown and it's fine)
Very powerful for the money
Will easily handle gigging when you move onto that

they're the ultimate practice amp which will lead you onto gigging as well

Wow, thats fantastic!

Thank's Phalanx mate, im gonna have a hunt around for this now. :)

Perhaps search around for a Trace Elliot Boxer secondhand, the old 60W models etc are pretty capable, and are available quite cheaply nowadays, my mate was also quite fond of Hartke before he switched to playing electric.

Might give you somewhere to start looking :)
I know from previous experience, OcUK dons dont allow you to sell or buy musical equipment on MM and the shop doesnt sell any, so am hoping these links are ok :)

The bassist in my band has always had a lot of trouble with the reliablity of his Trace Elliot head. I dunno if thats reflective of all Trace Elliot stuff but it's worth mentioning, just in case.

My combo amps been going for years, before they were bought out by Peavy they supplied a lot of Bass gear so I guess its inevitable there'd be some duds :)
