right i am after a sub £250 widescreen monitor so that kind of limits me to the 19inch variety. so what would you reccomend?

and is the difference between a 19" widescreen and a 20.1" widescreen monitor enough to justify the huge price difference?

cheers, Paul

The difference is panel used and the extra resolution offered, and some have rotate/tilt control. But for most people the most important factor is the extra resolution.

i just want it for playing DVD's becasue i am getting rid of my 28" ws tele when i move, so i guess resolution isnt going to be a huge factor.

well were only looking at a 19" really... (due to budget)

The Veiwsonic or Acer will do fine

Also I suggest you read the FAQ your sig is more than 4 lines :)

all the 19"WS models are pretty much using the same 8ms CPT TN Film panel and so performance is very comparable across that sector. The Acer 1916W and Viewsonic VA1912W are both good choices and popular around here
