Hello,

In the next few weeks ill be ordering a 7950 so in preparation I've been looking around at what games I can get.

I havent done a huge amont of PC Gaming in the past. Most of my gaming has been on the PS3 and I tend to play first person shooters, racing games and various sports games.

Can anyone recommend me some good games to get me started when the card arrives. Ill be getting battlefield 3 and I think ill be giving planetside 2 a go as well.

Any recommendations would be great!

Crysis 3, BF3 and Metro last light are all very pretty. Just don't do what I did and put tessellation and AA on at the same time, it makes your gfx card melt :)
 
if you enjoy " do what you like " games then i suggest skyrim or fallout.

And once modded they are even better.
 
The Stalker Series.
Metro 2033 and Last Light.
Crysis series.
CS:GO
Borderlands 2.
Grid 1+2.
Dirt series.
 
I'm after some new FPS

Isn't Dishonored an FPS? That looks pretty good?

I prefer free type games like FO and STALKER.

Dishonoured (Dish-on-a-red) is a great game, truely loved it. It's not a FPS though. More of a stleath game like Deus Ex but obvoiusly in first person..

It's not a free roaming game. You are sent to an area, you do certain task in said area (sort of free style) once tasks are done you reutrn to case (of your own accord) then move on to the next area... Ect...

You tired Batman AC? That's a great game. :)
 
Counter Strike: Global Offensive - Very difficult game to master.. but when you do there are so many leagues etc which you can participate in.

My adrenaline still goes and I have been playing CS from 1.4
 
Thank you all for the suggestions! I will make sure to buy a few to get me going. I'm just waiting for one of the 7950's to come on special offer! :)

I bought the first Batman game but didn't really like it much.

Does anyone play L4D2 still? I really enjoyed playing that.

Is TF2 still popular? I know neither are free-roamers but they are good games.

Quite fancy Skyrim.
 
Sorry to hijack the thread :p

Are there any games similar to these:

- batman AA and AC
- the last of us (haven't actually played this :( but watched videos on youtube and it looks to be my sort of game, reminded me of tomb raider a lot!)
- tomb raider (newest one)

Most games these days seem to pale in comparison to them....
