There is some there, I think ps3 just accepts and plug and play usb headsets,so I am not sure which of those would be compatible.

I use a bluetooth headset personally.

logitech vantage usb headset here - only one ear though, i'm used to the xbox 360 one and this is very similar but of much better quality (hence not to keen on MS buying out logitech, lol). The two ear ones can be expensive so thats why i never bothered with them and i don't get on with the bluetooth ones either so though this one i got was perfect.

PC USB headsets work fine with the ps3, using one myself. A skype headset I think, definitely better than bluetooth.

Yea im getting pairing issues with my bluetooth headset, choose it from a list of recommended ones for the PS3 as well. Avoid.

cheers for replys guys after spending ages going round in circles on google,im thinking maybe a ps eye is gonna be the way to go because its really the mic functionality i need which i found out in burnout paradise last night doing the online missions and i already have half decent headphones (sennheiser hd 485) and i doubt most of the usb headsets which are in 50 quid region (pc156 sennheisers) will sound half as good anyway and i doubt i could live with cheaper headsets :o

Yea the eye is quite cool especially for 17.99! May have to sit quite close to it tho as it may pick up a lot of background noise from a distance? Trials of Topoq and Creature Comforts are cool games aswell for future reference.

the eye is rubbish for that thats why i got the headset, they will be able to hear you and plus all the extra background noise but you'll still need something to hear them as sound out of TV speakers is horrible

I use a USB Skype headset and mic, not the best sound quality but it works well and is fairly cheap (£20). They're also pretty comfortable and have inline volume control, never had a problem with them with the PS3.
