Reccommend a power suppy for 680i / E6600 / 8800GTX / RAID ?

Hi can anyone recommend a good power supply, and how much power should i be looking for ?

I am currently running a Tagan 480 U01 and its getting a little warm!!

what sort of power should i be looking for? I like the look of the HiPer 580 modular with the cool looking connectors, but will that cover me when the cards come doen in price and i want SLi ??

any help ?
 
You will need a higher power PSU than the 580w hiper. I personally never had a problem with the Hiper PSU when I had one a year or so ago but many have encountered problems with that PSU.

I would look for an 800w as a minimum if you intend on going SLI, perhaps more if you also want to overclock.

i see you have a very similar rig. have you had any issues with temps on the 6600, and low 3dmark scores for CPU ?

i'm wondering if its the 480w PSU

can you recommend a good brand PSU for the 800w ?

cool as a cucumber in an Antec 900

but for 8800GTX in SLI i would have 700W minimum and im a Tagan fan

seen a few SLi'd 8800GTX's running on a 530W PSU though

what's the difference between ATX2 and ATX2.2 ?? will i lose out going for the 2.0 ?
