I currently use Adobe Audition to batch convert my music collection to 128kbps to save on disk space, but I've noticed that some of my songs have been cut in length and I've tracked it down to the software's fault.

So I was wondering whether there was a simple program to batch convert audio files? I'd rather go on reccommendation rather than a Google search.

I used to use MusicMatch, but don't really want a hefty program just for a simple conversion.

Nevermind, I updated my version of Adobe Audition to build 2.0 and that seems to have fixed it. Cheers guys.

Eh, I don't really see the point if you own the original physical copy. :p

I really only rip my CDs to 128kbps so I can play them on my PC/MP3 player and not wear out the CD.

Can you really hear the difference, honestly? I've got mid-range, closed headphones and VBR MP3's sound the same as CBR 128kbps MP3's to me. Never tried FLAC though so I won't knock it 'til I try it. But I reckon the savings in filesize over however big the audio quality gain is more preferable to me.
