I received an MSI R5450 this morning and the box wasn't sealed. After opening it up on further inspection the card had clearly been used before. There were finger marks on the bracket itself.

Now I'm in too minds whether or not to send it back and ask for a replacement. I've ordered hundreds of cards quite literally and this is the first one I've received that's not been shrink wrapped or sealed in some way.

It looks aesthetically fine, no dust or anything. Just a little annoying. Why would it have been opened? Returned item then refurbished etc?

Any ideas? It's not actually for me and I can't be bothered with the hassle of shipping it back. So should I just keep it?

I'd be tempted to send it back, ask for a replacement and tell them I wanted shipping refunded. If you think you can't be bothered with all that and are happy to keep it then obviously just keep it :)

By the way, its "two minds" not "too minds" ;)

Did it come with a game download code? the box may of been opened to put it in, the card could have been subject to QC testing which might explain the marks?

I would send it back for sure since you have no idea how it has been treated or anything so yeah send it back for piece of mind is my advice on this.

Would you believe me if I said I already knew that lol. I'm having a bad grammar day.

No game voucher I'm afraid. It's not for me anyway. I'm sure it'll be fine. I will drop them an email however. See if they can throw in a game voucher.

if its not for you keep it, but i would be alittle miffed if it was say a 580 or 6990 and it was all finger printed....then i would definitely send it back
