Recent build missing Ram + Timing

Afternoon guys, i have built a computer with an Core I7/18gb Ram and 2 Nvidia Quadros FX 1800's.

The problem is the computer only sees 12gb Ram,Motherboard is MSI x58 Pro-E, This is windows 7 x64.

You don't state what motherboard you have but you have 6 RAM slots of, I assume, 2 different colours.

Make sure all the 4GB sticks are in slots of the same colour and all the 2GB sticks are in the slots of the other colour.

If you have the Home Premium version of Windows 7 64 bit you won't be able to use more than 16GB.

Motherboard is an MSi x58 Pro-E. Cheers for the replies guys i will get them all changed and order a copy of windows ultimate
