Recent Firefox Update

So I just went and opened Firefox as normal and it told me Firefox has been updated, great, usualy there is no problem.
This time the update has caused all my bookmarks to dissapear
Im sure there are many Firefox users here, the bookmarks are normaly under the address bar and span the length of the screen, then there is a long tab on the right where the list continues.

Over a period of many months I have amassed a very usefull collection of bookmarks, and will be serverly upset if they have been deleted without warning.

Has anyone else had a Firefox update today and had a similar problem?

Pretty sure there is a bookmarks backup folder at
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<randomstring>\bookmarkbackups
Can import them from one of those files.
You may need to create a new profile from Start > Run > firefox -profilemanager though.
