Recent Win7 platform update.

I saw this update appear a couple of days ago but decided to hold off installing it in case there were any major bugs. I've heard of a few problems, mainly with Aero breaking and issues when restarting after the update.

Today I checked my taskbar for the Windows update icon so that I could install the update and I noticed it wasn't there. Thinking that the update had maybe installed itself, I fired up windows update from the start menu and it hadn't, it is also no longer listed if I check for updates.

Has the platform update been removed from Windows update?

Hello just looked at my update list and I installed the update yesterday and I never even knew I did.

Just this second noticed why I couldn't find it anymore. For some unknown reason it has moved from the recommended/critical section of Windows update to the optional section.

Wil install later.
