hi, anyone got a recent 4600+ from overclockers? just wondering what speeds your all getting as mine seems pretty rubbish. needs 1.7v to hit 2.75ghz but then it hits 50degrees under load with stock cooler with as5.

Somethings not right there. 50 degree load with stock cooler at 1.7v. Either you live in a freezer, your board undervolts massively, or your temp sensor is way off. Most likely the latter. Back the volts off. For air with an x2 i wouldnt go past 1.5v and that normally causes probs on good air due to the temps

both my dfi boards ive had are at 50 with the latest bios's. the heatsink is the better one with heatpipes. i set the cpu fan to 100% at 50 degrees and it keeps wirring up and down so must be hovering around 50degrees. got super pi running at 1.525v but i bet it wont pass dual prime. the 1.7v was only for a go at prime with all fans turned to full. was testing as i wrote the post

EDIT: according to cpuz the voltage is almost 0.25v lower than what the bios is set to. is cpu-z accurate?? it is the latest version

not sure. last time i removed the cpu fan it ripped the cpu out the socket  so don't wana try it again (am i right in thinking thats the writing on the top of the cpu tell me if im wrong here please:))

Remove cooler immediately after turning comp off and that gets round that problem as thermal paste has been heated up
