Hi all,

A few weeks back I posted an advice thread, on my upgrade and ordered accordingly. I have to say its a cracking and I'm really enjoying it, so thanks to those that helped with it :)

I do have a slightly annoying problem though and I've asked around and no one really has a clue, so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know:

Problem:

When I first turn the pc on in the morning, it powers up, fans, etc.. but it does not POST and after about 3s, it resets and does this again. To break the cycle I hit the reset switch. Now when the pc powers on, everything appears to be working but the machine does not POST nor does anything come up on screen.

So off goes the machine, open up the case, initially I tried moving RAM, taking things out, checking the connections. But now, its as simple as moving the SATA cables to ramdom slots. Shut the case, and power on, POST and Vista in seconds. (Please note, that its not that certain SATA slots that are broken and its just the action of moving the HDD and DVD cables to differing slots that works).

I have no clue what do to, this is a slightly annoying way of having to start a pc and my biggest concern is that it may be doing lasting damage
But when the pc is on, it runs like a dream, with no crashes for hours of play...

Please could anyone with a little knowledge help me out?

Spec

Corsair 620w

(I removed the Sound Card as it was causing Vista driver problems)

Have you tried turning off RAID in the BIOS and (I think) using just the intel SATA slots? I've heard of similiar problems being fixed by both of these.
