Recieve a fax to a PC?

After one too many scam faxes using up my toner, i want to use my PC as a GUI faxmachine. Surely this is possible yes? google turns up a lot of non-specific info, can anyone help? Fax modem + some kind of software?

WinFax is the best imo.

Very user friendly once you get it setup.

If you have a dedicated line for your fax then you can set it to autoanswer after x number of rings, or you can manually answer.

Windows 2000 and XP have built in fax functionality that will do what you want. You only need a modem.

i have been using e-fax.com for years. They give you a fax number and any faxes you get are emailed to you

yeah, would be good cept all our advertising has our main hotel number on.

You could try registering with the Fax Preference Service, supposedly any fax marketing service is legally obliged not to fax any numbers on it, but take that with a pinch of salt.
