Was at work, came down into the sales office to see a Dell box sitting on the floor *Glee!*

Unpacked it, plugged it in at work, looks awesome.
Did spot one dead pixel top right, you'd only really notice if you really tried... might leave it?

How to check revision? Sticker on back says A03 (czech) but the sticker it-self looks as if its been peeled off and replaced (bent edges/scratched).

I read here once there was a key function to check it.

No banding!
Woo.

Cmon 5:30pm want to test my beauty >_<

Now, moving into my new flat next week, need a desk.. hmm :X

Yeah.
Is it to my understanding that dell will send a courier with a new/replacement one and take the one with the dead pixel back, next day?
(prolly 3 days in jersey..).

Dell don't have a "no dead pixel" policy but I'm sure you can be creative on the phone..... :)

I've had 2 2005FPWs replaced because the backlight wasn't up to scratch (actually genuinely), no one ever checks them - they just swap them out.

Bear in mind though that you're not going to get a "new" monitor from them, you'll get one which is refurbished - however it will carry the balance of your warranty so its as if its new.

Wait for the influx of A02 people sending back thier 2407`s trying to get a A03.
The only difference between the A02 and A03 revisions (as far as I'm aware) is some small changes to the OSD. Word on the street is that banding is a potential problem no matter what revision you get.
