Hey guys,

a friend has coded his website using javascript, he has used css where possible but he was wondering to change it to css and divs..

is it worth it?

www.cnsfarnell.com is his site....what do you guys think? can you see any issues with his coding thus far?

is updating in javascript more difficult then when using css and divs?

please help

thanks in advance

All he's using Javascript for is the menu, the rest is plain old fasioned HTML (with table layout), it's just that all the html is on a single line at the bottom.

so what could he do to improve this site in terms of coding, graphics and basically bringing it into the 21st century??

could one solution be:

a) to use css and divs instead of basic html and javascript for the menus and throughout the site?
b) to introduce some better graphics maybe?

all help would be very much appreciated

thanks in advance

cheers!!

sure, he was thinking of redoing the site using css and divs for sure - i told him I'd check with the experts first though :)

thereafter i think he should just think about adding more colour...its definately a unique product so would definate benefit in the marketing side if he used some simple and clean graphics - any ideas guys??

thanks in advance

cheers
