I didn't like Seinfeld much as I thought the characters were too annoying. :o

Another few series I've thought of are Beavis and Butthead, Bottom, The Young Ones and The New Statesman.
 
Not really the style of show you were after, but 'Kenny vs. Spenny is one of the funniest things on TV. Think reality gameshow sitcom with an evil genius at the helm torturing his best friend mentally!

Series 1 is on DVD
 
Love 2 and a half men, seen all of the episodes, waiting on some new ones :(

Currently really enjoying Becker with Ted Danson, didnt think it would be much good but boy I was wrong, sure hes a miserable git at times but the scripts are great. Not sure how easy it is to get hold of DVDs etc tho, I've been watching American epsiodes.

Also another vote for House, Hugh Laurie really does steal the show and some of the stuff he says is fantastic.

Family Guy and Futurama also win it for me on the animated front.

Dave Chapelle in Chapelles Show. It is the funniest thing I have ever seen.
The man is a genius.

I guess it never became as popular in the UK as it is a US show with jokes relating mainly to the US culture.
 
a big, big, big vote here for king of queens. Hadn't even heard of it till about 6 weeks ago, but its a definate keeper.

Watch now!

(and theres 8 seasons of it)
