its good value but the second pci-e slot runs at 4x when xfire is used so 16x4x which isnt too bad but could be atleast 8x

1.1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16)
* For optimum performance, if only one PCI Express graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16 slot.
2.1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x4 (PCIEX4)
* The PCIEX4 slot shares bandwidth with the PCIEX1_2 and PCIEX1_3 slots. When the PCIEX1_2 slot or the PCIEX1_3 slot is populated, the PCIEX4 slot will operate at up to x1 mode.
3.3 x PCI Express x1 slots
(All PCI Express slots conform to PCI Express 2.0 standard.)
4.2 x PCI slots

If you what 8x when xfire is used your are looking at something like the GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3 which will cost you £35-£40 more.

is amd any good as also looking at the 6100 bulldozer

Compared to the Intel chips that are out at the minute I wouldn't waste my
money, Bulldozer is not as good in my opinion, get a lot more bang for buck with
Intel at the minute.

Loads of long threads in the CPU's forum on Bulldozer and it's failings.

Short version is AMD really messed up :(. It's ok for highly threaded software, but on a single thread it's weaker than the Phenom II chips. Intel is the only way to go for a new rig at the moment unless you're on an extremely tight budget and looking at Athlon II's.
