but cos of budget i don't want to go to far over the £70 mark if at all if i can help it

For crying out loud people. Please do a search. There are countless "spec me a psu" threads and everyone recommends the Corsair HX520/620w.

Yes that one is quite decent, but yes, as above, take a look at the Corsairs as well.

Yes the coolermaster is a good PSU and so is the corsair

think about how much the rest of you're system has cost, cos a cheapo psu might take it all with it if it goes, whereas for the sake of saving a few extra £'s you could get the coolermaster/corsair.

just to be different:

suitably priced Tagan TGxxx U33. not as quiet as the U22 but better in all other regards.
