Hello i am looking for a printer that is Vista 64bit and Windows 7 64 Bit compatable as my deskjet 710c from the 1950's isnt supported by both of them.

I dont want to spend more than £40, what can you recomend me?

Got the HP Photosmart C5280 last year, excellent piece of kit I've found, had no complaints. I would recommend it if you're looking for efficiency in ink usage. It also has scanner and photocopying functions..

I havent actually tried using it on Windows 7, but I believe there has been a working vista driver out for some time now.

Just beyond the price range though :(

I've never owned a Canon printer myself, but looking at the specs it seems to be a good choice, given your budget. If you're printing constantly then I would consider a more economic printer, but I would imagine that this would do you perfectly well for general use.

Trying to find one like my epson 320, eg that can print CDs & uses cheap Continuous Ink Supply Systems.

epson all the way, most reliable printers i have ever used and i have been using only epson for the last 8 or so years, and ink is so cheap if you use compatible ink but for your £40 budget it's going to be hard to find one for that amount, maybe second hand, something like what lemin said the r320 is a great printer and like lemin has already said it can do cd/dvd's and you can get a continuous ink set-up that will make ink even cheaper :D
