I'm looking to buy a tablet of some kind, but with all the choice in the market things can get a little confusing for a simple person like myself.

Usage requirements:

Surfing the Internet
Word
XL
Some gaming.

Was thinking of buying a Windows tab, something like the Acer Iconia Tab W500 http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/model/LE.RHC02.045

Are Windows based tabs really any good?
Is there an alternative option to a Windows based tab that will suite my requirements?
