recomend me some front speakers plz

hi all. im looking to upgrade my front speakers. i dont wonna send too much (£200 ish) at the minute i only have some "bookshelf" tdl items, there ok but dont offer much detail. im happy to stick with bookshelf style speakers but would consider some floorstanders.

i realise that £200 isnt a massive budget but ull just have to work with it.

my currant set up is:

marantz SR4400 amp
Kef coda 90 centre
gale something or other rears
mordant short 309 sub

the room is fairly small

i listen to a lot of different music rock/dance/pop

im looking for crisp trebble/detailed mid (as far as possible with budget) not too fussed about bass as my amp dosent push much out and i have a decent sub

i havent heard anything that i like, this is my first step

i have some budget TDL items. they just dont seem clear/detailed enough when its turned up to "listening" volume, they seem a bit cluttered and muddy

hi mate.

would i not be better off just upgrading my fronts?

my centre is quite good and my rears are ok although i would like to have a centre rear.

i know i seem a bit noobie on the topic lol.

point taken and understood.

the first prob with the set on there is that the fronts and rears are black

i am looking down the road of getting a good "set" of speakers.

if i went for a set up similar to the one you have spec'd what should i use for a rear center??
