I'd wait and see what comes out over the summer if your X1950Pro isn't struggling, but the 8800GTS is the price/performance king right now. I have one myself, absolutely blown away and it's my first Nvidia card in ages.

To be honest, I'd stick with the X1950Pro until Crysis is actually out then I'd take a look at what's on the market.rippling said:
The R600 refresh is due out, as is the new stuff from Nvidia, and even if not then the current stuff will be much cheaper by that time and you can basically take your fancy.

There's got to be a 2900XTX somewhere in the works? Surely Ati has to at least try to compete in the high-end market?
everyone seems to be getting the 8800gts as its current price is really good conswidering its power, although if you want to play on that ress a gtx may be able to cope with it, also depending on the aa/af levels..
i personally am waiting for the next ati cards (once crysis benchmarks are out) and the G92 cards.
i am really annoyed i am on a 7300gt at the moment but sacrafices have to be made ^_^.
