hello there

I need a little advise. I have decided to get a watercooling sytem with a budget to upto £250

I am someone with no watercooling experiance. Before i purchase i would like to ask a few questions if thats ok. Before i do, ill tell what my rig consists of.

1x silverstone TJ05-B (black) case
1x ASUS P5N32 SLI Premium/WiFi-AP motherboard
1x core2duo 2.4ghz (conroe) cpu
1x EVGA superclocked nvidia GeForce 7950 GX2 graphics card
1x 1Gb (2X512Mb) Corsair TwinX DDR2 XMS2, PC8500 (1066) memory
1x 120gb WD SATA2 RE HARD DRIVE
2x 500gb WD SATA2 RE HARD DRIVES
1x 500watt tagan PSU

Not a bad machine but not even close to some of the machines on here.

So question, questions, questions ? (please understand before messing around with my system id like to know pritty much every aspect before deciding)

1. Can overclocking lead to death of my machine ?
2. Can watercooled systems break/leak ? (any one that has damaged there machine please explain how it happened)
3. Do you get condensation ? (does this apply)
4. Is it hard to install ?
5. Is it hard to maintain ? and how do you maintain ?
6. Can you get a duel vga block for the gx2 gfx card ?
7. Ist it realy that good ? does it truly make a difference ?
8. What would be the best brand or make inc model numbers for my rig above ?

Thank you for reading and answering any question(s) i have asked

Truly Rob

Potentially but extremely unlikely.

Yes, I've had leaks where I haven't leak tested before hand and found barbs weren't water tight. In most occasions it won't do any harm unless you don't notice for a while and you start to get corrosion or other deposits.

You won't get condensation.

Installing watercooling can be quite involved, though if you take your time, leak test, use clips you shouldn't have any problems.

You might need to change the water every so often, 6-12 months is the figure that gets mentioned but it's not something I've ever done.

Yes, you need low profile blocks and you can now get special spacers for the cards, think it's Swiftech that makes them.

If I had that card I would look to water cool it.

I'll leave this for someone else to answer.

Swiftech H20-220 Apex Ultra Watercooling Kit is probably your best bet, you will need to buy a gpu block. I wouldn't bother with chip set block just get a gpu one and some ram syncs.

Couldnt agree more but with the caveat that I would buy these pieces seperatly, you definately do not need the NB block as it will have an adverse effect on flow rate, so having said that why pay for it, go seperates as the swiftech kit is top draw.

If you do buy the components separately get a Thermochill PA 120.3 rad. :)
but on the whole the apex ultra is what you need.
