I am looking for some recomendations for good, solid, reliable and proven coolers to overclock an i7-920 to 4GHz.

I am not too fussed by noise really. I just want great cooling performance.

Thanks ^^

I've been testing this against my Noctua heatsink and using the Noctua fans, the thermolab is a good few degrees better. I'd keep it myself but for testing purposes I have to stick with my Noctua. Just add two fans of your choice and you'll be good to go!

Does that ThermoLab Baram cooler now fasten from the top, or up through the mother board from the bottom?

Many thanks.

You basically add 4 long screws to the back plate and put it through the motherboard. And the just place the cooler from the top and use the provided hand nuts to tighten it.

I had the one with the old mounting kit and that was useless so I basically just put it to one side and never really thought twice about it. So I stuck to my trusty Noctua but then I received the updated Baram mounting kit and I can't believe how it really is! I thought at best, it would just about match the Noctua but it actually beats it!

Excellent, thanks for that, so do they now ship with the improved mounting kit?

I believe they have for quite a while now. Mine was a sample sent from them but hopefully someone working at OCUK could check and confirm it. My first sample was from a long time back and I doubt very much that they'd sell that.
