Hi,

I built my computer about a year ago and at the time everyone was recomending to not purchase an expensive proc as they were about to seriously drop in price. Therefore i purchased something somewhat slower than i originally wanted.

I now have time to resolve this and was looking for a recomendation based on my motherboard.

my board is a 'Realtek RTL8168 family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC.

I have just upgraded the drivers and it is now telling me its a RTL8168B.

This mobo was a recomendation at the time too.

I mainly use the computer for gaming.... AOC and champmanger tend to be the most used games. I also do a little office work, but i am talking about simple word and XL.

Money is not really an issue, but i do not want to spend for spending sake. I want a good strong proc.

I have this currently: Intel Core (TM)2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40GHz

Thanks in advance.

hi,

No, mine is not overclocked.

To be honest, i am not that much of a techie person. I can plug and play okay, but i have no idea about overclocking or flashing bios and all that !

Hi,

I have just used that CPU Z and i have the following Board:

Gigabyte P35 DSP3.

In relation to overclocking, I guess i should read up on how to do it.

Quick question though ...... is it easy? and am i going to need to upgrade other stuff to do it?

thanks

Hi,

I am probably goingto get a new monitor fairly soon. i have a 19" acer (not sure of spec).

I have the following kit:

Memory: DDR2 4096MB Dual 400.0mhz (4x1000) Gskill PC2-6400
Graphic: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS
HD: 2x Samsung HD400LJ (i have problems with these constantly accesssing and slowing comp down).

Please let me know if anything is worth upgrading.
Thanks

just another quick question.....

I have started to read the post on overclocking and it states very early that the Mobo should be good for over clocking..

Whats a mobo?

Only joking !!!!

Is mine good for overclocking?
