Recomendations for a new card?

My current card is fried Radeon 4870... wont POST and the 4 little lights on the car where you connect the additional power cables 3 out of the 4 flash and from my research indicate a problem with the card. so thus why i'm here im requiring a card of similar performance but as things have changed in the cards etc i have no idea where to start so hope you guys can help...

My PC spec.

Mobo: X38-DQ6
C2Duo E6859 3.00GHz
Corsair 8gig.
Radeon 4870
EarthWatts 500 Watt power supply

any ideas or comments?

wel off to pick up a £30 card just get it up and running again but no idea depends on how much an equivalent card is £100 or so.

Guess you are not heavily gaming, a 7750 will be enough for anything light @ 720p.
