Hi!

I am currently running my 4200 overclocked but feel i can push it further if i had a decent cooling solution as the last time i bought a after market HSF was when i had my old AMD 2000+ i need some advise :D

My poor processor is running at a constant temperature of 55C at full load which is a little hot but its running stable for days on end. The socket type is AM2 and i dont mind attaching new mounting brackets to my motherboard.

Any help is appreciated!

Have same cpu as you atm, my stock cooler seems to do a good job of keeping it below 62 degrees lol at load. what's your running at?
Just got Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 myself, was recommended on here, just waiting for MX2 through the post before installing it.

my machine is always running Boinc so both cores are usually hitting 100% when ever its on. When i have looked at the temps it usually is at 55C but has gone to 60C (depending if my girl friend has turned the heating on :D)

I have set the HT multiplier to 4x, the bus speed to 234mhz, multiplier set to 11x and cant remember the exact voltage but its around 1.3volts giving me a clock speed of 2574mhz

Mine runs at around 250 *11 stable anything higher and have random bsod's or program exits. Also 275*10 seems to be around the ceiling of it. Mine keeps relatively cool as room it's in doesn't really heat up that much.
As for coolers would say either the AC Freezer Pro 64, Thermalright Ultra 120A/Ultima 90i.
Depends really on budget, anyone else got views?

Thanks for your advice everyone :) I bought a Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 pro yesterday morning so didnt see your posts postmanfw and Lyle44 but thanks for replying :)

It has just arrived now so will have it setup when i get home from work.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice to buy the Arctic freezer pro its a great piece of kit i have gone from a max over clock of 2574mhz to one that i haven't reached the cap yet (although i may hit it soon). My current speed is 2728mhz from 2200 currently running prime95 at this speed but so far after 15 mins no errors or crashes **touches wood**!

The current CPU temperature on full load is between 40 and 42C (I have turned off PMW and fan controls and just let it spin at 2300 RPM all the time as i cant hear it over my noisy PSU fan!)
