Hi there,

I want to change my HTPC rig thats connected up to my plasma. My current case is way to big for the purpose, although it was always only a temporary solution.

My components consist of:

Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3

Nvidia 280 GTX

CPU Cooler = Akasa Nero S

Corsair HX 620W ATX Modular PSU

I do like Lian Li cases (especially cube/mini tower) but unsure what going to fit?

Would appreciate some advice, cheers!

:)

I've noticed that my motherboard in question (Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD4) is in fact a Micro-ATX board, not ATX.

So after a little research after knowing this information I have been looking at this:

Silverstone Grandia GD05

From what I can tell this would fit all the components I have, except the cpu cooler I have. But think I have read somewhere Silverstone also make a cpu cooler for this case . . .

Have to say this would look great under my plasma tv.

I'd agree that it would be an excellent choice.

Also look at the new Lian Li HTPC case (PC-C50) - my only concern would be the potential cost since new Lian Li's seem to command massive price tags!

One feature i particularly like is that the case isn't that deep. Many similar cases are either longer or as long as they are wide which means they're difficult to fit on an AV shelf. Both this and the Silverstone you have posted up look to be excellent in this respect!

I see what you mean about the Lian does look v nice as well:

Although different shape, I do find this Lian quite appealing too:

Decisions, decisions. . .

Are there any other new HTPC cases on the horizon?

After thinking about things for a while I'm gonna go for the Silverstone Grandia GD05.

For just over £70 I think its a great bit of kit and slightly better looking than the Lian. The Lian looks too square and the edges are too hard. The Siverstone is more rounded on the corners etc.
