Google 'Samsung S27A750D review' for my views. Given your budget, GPU (assume it has DP/MiniDP) and desires I think you'd like it ;).

not sure what i would go for with your budget, for 120hz screens the samsung 950 and 750 look very nice but then the dell 27 and hazro 27" is in your price range

yes my Graphics cards have 1 DP 1 HDMI 2 DVI each...:D

So question is would you buy one with your own money.. the only thing putting me off is:

1. im currently on PVA. HP LP2475w lose quality?
2. No VESA. Currently using Egotron Arm But could use that for the HP? :)

When I reviewed the monitor I had various other calibrated specimens as a point of reference including an EW2420 VA panel, a ye olde Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2070SB an Apple LED Cinema Display 27" and Dell U2312HM. You would miss out on some of the shade variety of your VA panel but even with this side by side comparison the Samsung was impressive. The vibrancy and clarity of the image actually exceeded all but the Apple Cinema Display in many respects. It is a great monitor when set up properly, for gaming, and if I didn't have to do any colour-critical work this is one I would seriously consider based on personal preferences. And it was by far the smoothest non-CRT in this comparison and there really wasn't much between the CRT and the Samsung when running titles at high frame rates.
