Hello folks,

My friend is looking to buy a PC as his laptop is ****e.

He's looking for "something cheap that will play WoW/D3/SC2 on Ultra" for around about £700.

This will have to include a monitor and keyboard.

Thanks in advance

As Chris says, you'll have to compromise either the GPU or the CPU. Not sure which one is the most important in wow.

Base line.

So can upgrade to a quadcore, or a 560ti (which should be plenty). Or keep those if they are sufficient and improve the rest. And you sure he doesn't need an OS?

Hello Jamie :)

How the...?

And you sure he doesn't need an OS?

He has his Windows disc that he used for his laptop. Failing that, he said he'd just find one via totally legit websites ;)

I was thinking of selling him my old 5870 for around £80, which, according to AnandTech, is on par with the 560Ti and saves him a bit of smash to spend on the other goodies.

He'll be online at some point, so I'll show him these builds then.

Thanks guys, great help!
