A friend of mine is needing a new agp card. Upgrading from a fx5200 so should be a major jump whatever he gets!!! Looking for something in the £100-£150 range. Hes got a 3GHz p4 so i guess that will probably slow down his performance with a decent card. No real preferance about make/brand. Not sure what his psu is but it was a top end dell from about 4 years ago so probably a bit lacking by todays standards. Need to and and visit him to find out the amps as hes not really upto taking side of case. What the min i should be looking for for recommended cards?

many thanks for your help

Agreed 7600 GT, its faster than the 6800 Ultra, doesn't cost much more than the PCI-E version, and will destroy his fx5200, be a decent upgrade. :)

Depending on the PSU you might just be able to get a 7900GS in there, I've heard that its balanced in between the 76GT and 79GT :)
