Hey,

I think its time for a graphic's upgrade and I'm hoping someone can help me; My current card and motherboard below;

Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. B450 AORUS ELITE (AM4)
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 (ZOTAC International)

thanks

I'm afraid there are no cheap upgrades from a 2070. I'd be looking at a minimum of a 3070 or RX 6800 really and they don't come cheap. I'd suggest it is best to wait for the next gen.

A 2070 doesn't have 4GB memory, by the way, can you take a GPU-Z screenshot?

Thanks for responding; Yeah I'm a little naïve with spec programs; The screenshot below fine?

Wait for the 3000 series owners to buy one the new 4000 series and then buy a secondhand 3070 or 3080

Yeah, whilst top end cards are now crazy money, which is as expected but what I find truly obscene are the prices for the lower to mid range AIB cards, they're all a good £100-£150 overpriced.

Nvidia was playing the long-game when they introduced the first Titan card.

They have now managed to normalise the pricing by having a top card at the extreme high pricing while "airlifting" the pricing for cards at the lower segment.

Years have passed, and performance to price pretty much remain stagnated for the £200 segment with it barely improved from the RX580/GT1060 6GB's back in 2016. Anyone want meaningful improvement for upgrading their card from the RX580/1060 6GB, they would have to prepare to fork out at least a budget of £350 to £500 for a new card, or look at the 2nd hand market...

All those people who defended and normalised Nv's pricing of Pascal are now paying through the nose for 4000 after getting bent over for the 3000 series.

Good job.
