Hi All,

I am looking at buying a new monitor, mainly for web browsing and gaming but I do spend many hours in front of my screen so it needs to be half decent.

My budget is about £400 max but I could purchase the Asus PB287Q if that is the best of the monitor I have been looking at in the links below.

These are the ones I have looked at and it would be great to have some feedback on these or any other decent monitors that you can recommend. I am planning purchasing sometime today or at the latest tomorrow as I require one asap.

Thanks in advance for any help or feedback to the above.

27-28inch screen, main purpose will be browsing the web and gaming The 4k were looked at due to them being future proof and having not bad reviews and the price was fine, the 1440 monitor has some decent reviews that I have read for the price and the 1080 model was sort of a cheap option. I have came here to see what is best bang for buck that is sort of an all rounder.

You can buy new & boxed Dell UP3216Q's for about £400 now if you look around the usual places. A third of the original RRP.

What graphics card will you be pairing them with? You'll need something pretty powerful to drive those 4k screens in intensive games.

Thanks for all the input guys.

I have an Matrix R9 290X Platinum in my AMD machine and a Matrix 780ti Platinum in my Intel machine. I will considering either crossfire or SLI if required at a later date which is one of the reasons I looked at the 4k monitors.

Definitely start with tft central e.g. http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2515h.htm

They've got a huge range of monitors and the reviews are so indepth that half of it goes straight over mu head.

Cheers for this link as I have not visited this place before. I came here to get 2 or 3 decent options for the money I intend to spend so thanks for the input as it helps narrowing down my search and means I only have to read reviews regarding decent monitors....it can be daunting at times but the more info the better..

Just thought I would let you guys know that I eventually bought the monitor below

Only had it a few days but can say that I am well pleased with the quality of this screen, unless you actually see it in front of you its hard to believe the jump up in image quality from 24inch 1080 screen is excellent and well recomended. I will be upgrading my graphics soon to either Matrix 780ti Sli or Strix OC RX480 crossfire to be able to get the full use of 4k but as I said in an earlier message 4k was about thinking ahead. I dont have a great deal of time for games at the moment due to being very busy at work but I can say Fifa 17 looks absolutely amazing and runs without issue at 4k including 10bpc resolution without any slow downs at all so as that is the main game I am playing when I have the time...Im Happy...Thanks for the input though that was added to this post as TFT Central was a site that helped me with my decision and until I made the post had never visited the website.

Once again...Cheers
