recommend a good 1440p ips monitor

I was looking at this monitor

My basket at Overclockers UK:

1 x LG 27GL850-B 27" 2560x1440 NANO IPS 144Hz 1ms FreeSync/G-Sync Compatible Widescreen LED Gaming Monit= £449.99

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about these yet and if they are worth a purchase?

They claim HDR 10 but the peak brightness looks too low for that so I imagine the HDR might be throwaway, not had any experience with HDR on PC yet but read some bad things so maybe HDR is not worth worrying about?

Anyway if anyone has any thoughts or recommendations for a good gaming 1440p monitor around £450-500 be much appreciated

(IPS preferably and don't care too much about big refresh rates)

The consensus seems to be that the LG is a good monitor, probably the best price/performance and not terrible QC. From what I gather though we won't be seeing a good amount of them here in the UK for a while.

HDR performance will be middling, unfortunately that's the way of the world in PC monitors, aside from those new ultrawides.

It should be good monitor as it ticks all the boxes apart from the usual limitation of HDR brightness at this price, you would need to spend £2000 on a monitor for full fat HDR performance.

I will try to order it tonight then and see if I can nab one, I do fancy it!
