recommend a graphics card for around £250 max

Just come back from my jollies and within 5 mins the computer decided to blue screen. Tried again and 5-10 mins goes by and blue screen.

Decided to give it a few hours then try again this time get one long beep, which suggest motherboard, again leave it a bit and try again this time it seems to be starting only no output to the screen what so ever.

The current graphics is a geforce Gainward BLISS 8800 gts 640mb which I assume is causing the problem with the no display as I haven't got another PCI-express card to try and no spare mobo with a pci-express slot.

Any of you clued up people recommend a decent card for around £250?
 
right might pick up a cheap cheap cheap card just to ensure its is the card which should sort me out short term.
 
Definitely what you should do, some ancient 6200 or something for a few quid should see you through until the 5xxx series are out.
 
Id be testing all my hardware first before shelling out on a new card, do you not have a friend with a pc you can test your card in ?
