My Microsoft internet keyboard which I've had for years and love has finally decided to give up the ghost with the ctrl and caps Lock keys (which to be honest have taken a hammering) failing.

Unfortunately MS seem to discontinued the model i was using so a new keyboard model is in order.

Anyone able to recommend a good basic keyboard with a similar keyboard action (no backlights (utterly pointless and distracting for me) or ergonomic typaes (I have a non standard typing style and don't cope with them toowell)

+1 to the above, I'd personally avoid Microsoft keyboard like the plague but it looks like you did well with your last one

Thanks for the suggestions - funnily enough I was down bracknell town centre today and popped into the local computer shop to pick up a stand-by keyboard and guess what - they were selling off OEM keyboards and mice at £2 a set. Even better was the fact that the OEM keyboard turned out to be a stripped down M/S internet keyboard which had all the fitting for the wrist rest etc - so new key board same as the old one :)

I've also ordered a Digital media pros as well so it will be interesting to see if the key action is different , one of the thing that I relly hate about Cherry keyboards plus the fact every one that I've owned ( about 5 or 6) has broken in the space of 3 months
