Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a new laptop that is to meet the following requirements:-

Supported Chipsets - Nvidia FX 5900 Ultra or greater; ATI Radeon 9800 or greater; Intel 82915G/82910GL or greater.
Earlier cards may only display 2D Match Viewer Mode and are not supported.
Earlier cards may require the DirectX 9.0 SDK is installed to run the game. DirectX®: 9.0c
Hard Drive: 2GB
Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible

I work away from home a lot and require a portable gaming system, that can allow me to do some work and also be a entertainment system for watching films/streaming.

My budget is not set but the cheaper the better, I have been searching through the Dell outlet but I am looking for advice.

All comments appreciated and welcome.

Thanks
Luke

Further devlopments to the above...

I want/need to purchase the laptop in the next week and it will need to be from the usual high street/retail park mob and on finance (will be paid off with the xmas bonus thou)

Price limit is £600-£700.

Main use will be as above, gaming, watching movies, AutoCAD, etc..

The shortlist is as follows, please offer your advice and if you think i could get a better deal, advise me please!!

Dell XPS L502x
i5-2410M (2.3Ghz), 4gb RAM, 640gb, 525M 1gb graphics card, JBL Speakers.
£630.00

Samsung NP-RF511-S02
i5-2410M (2.3Ghz), 6gb RAM, 640gb, 540M 1gb graphics card, Bluray Drive. (Appears to be a smaller screen solution, can this display HD bluray?
£649.97

ASUS N53SV-SX606V
i5-2410M (2.3Ghz), 4gb RAM, 500gb, 540M 2gb graphics card, bang olfsen speakers.
£599.99

ACER 7750G
i5-2410M (2.3Ghz), 4gb RAM, 500gb, 6650M 1gb graphics card.
£549.99

In my opinion the Samsung NP-RF511 or the ASUS N53SV-SX606V are the best options. The GT 540M graphics seems to be best out the 3 mentioned, only thing I am unsure is that the ASUS is a 2gb version but i think this is using the optimus technology and using the on board graphics opposed to the 540M, correct me if i am wrong and advise please.

Other advantages pushing me towards the Samsung is greater RAM & ROM and the bonus of the Bluray drive!

Let me know your thoughts and please advise me if i can get more for my money elsewhere but bare in mind finance purchase.

Thanks for reading.
