My first post on these forums, having been reading and buying from overclockers for the last 6+ years.
Have been adding items to basket for last 2 weeks and then changing my mind about a component, I want to get these parts ordered tonight.
Am looking at a complete build based on the Phenom 1090T.
My main problem is choosing MB and RAM.
At first i chose the Asus Crosshair IV Formula AMD 890FX, Spend two days looking for the right ram. I would like 8gb, and would prefere 2x4gb. But i needed to know for sure that whatever ram i get will be rocksolid with the board.
All the configurators on the corsair and other ram sites dont have a recomnendation for 2x4gb with this board.
The Asus website even advises triple channel memory kits for this MB, aint built pc for a few years but i know the difference between dual and triple channel kits. That made me think a bit more about asus boards, i thought the Asus Crosshair IV Formula AMD 890FX is a bit overkill for what im looking for, i wont be using crossfire (ever).
So then i thought about Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD7, But again cant find the right ram.
Ill will be overclocking this cpu but prob no more than 3.8, so i need MB that will overclock.
Also would like the newer chipset with usb 3.0 and SATA 6Gb.
I will be editing HD video and photo editing,
I enjoy a bit of games mainly BFB2 COD ARMA, But im not hardcore.
GFX im going for is Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6870 1024MB.
So if anyone could recoment a good MB and 2x4gb compatible ram for the 1090t i would apreciate your input.
