Hi guys

I'm toying with the idea of replacing the old clock radio in the bedroom with a nice little micro system, obviously quality won't have to be top notch but I'm hoping for something half decent.

Features that I would like to have in it are:

DAB
Radio alarm
MP3 playback from memory card if possible (don't have an iPod)
Recording of radio onto memory card would be nice

I've seen this model which seems to have it all:
Pure DMX-50 DAB/CD/MP3/SD/USB Micro System
It doesn't seem to be on their website anymore, I think it's been replaced with the DMX-60 but there seems to be some quality issues with the new model.

This Sony doesn't mention anything about SD MP3 playback but it has the rest and higher wattage speakers:
Sony CMTCPZ1 DAB Micro System

Any thoughts of other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks :)

I've had my Pure DMX-60 for 6 months now and am still chuffed to bits with it. I did though upgrade the speakers to a pair of Tannoys, which are slightly smaller and neater looking than the Pure (to keep the wife happy). The SD reader occasionally stalls but that may be due to a cheap card from Hong Kong, which is almost certainly a counterfeit Sandisk, but works OK most of the time. Also, when you first turn on the DAB sound is fuzzy, but clears within 15 seconds. But on balance it's superb value for money - so much so that I bought my wife the portable Pure Oasis DAB for use around the garden - another excellent buy. HTH.

I'm looking at one of these - DM37DAB Black as a potential Arcam / Marantz replacement due to space. The only thing I would maybe hook it up with is a set of Kef Speakers etc.
