Hi,

I have a ASROCK S775 VIA PT880 PCI-E AGP ATX with a Pentium dual core 2.8 fitted.

Could some recommend a super quiet fan to replace the stock intel one.

I hear the zalman fans are good but not sure of which model

Thanks ,

Ian

scythe ninja's are pretty quiet, i guess you could even take the stock fan off and use a 120mm Yate Loon (really simple to do, it just clips on with a bent paper clip like thing).

Also Tuniq Towers are pretty quiet (again as quiet as the fan you put on it) but are rather on the large side.

Is it a fan you are after or a CPU cooler? If It's a fan I would suggest and recommend a Yate Loon as DampCat says, after that the Noctua S12's are super quiet. Both these fans are the quietest and best performance (air pressure) you can get.

Well, if your after a heatsink and fan you can't go wrong witht the arctic cooling freezer pro 7. easy to fit (compared to stock intel), great design and whisper quiet.

The fan assembly easily and cleverly detaches from the heatsink for fitment/removal of heatsink and for cleaning.

I concur.

Although it's only quiet when it's on low speed of course, when you turn it up to full blast cooling it's extremely loud. But as he says you can remove the fan from the HS to clean them both, it's only a clip on either side which I love.
